Melissa J. Henderson

1971-2005

Lawrenceburg EMS has lost one of our own. Melissa Henderson was a dedicated EMT. She loved helping others. She had a passion for EMS. In the short time that she was an EMT, she helped the many people. Melissa was a very outgoing person. She was the first one to volunteer for any detail. Melissa could be found helping cover sporting events all around Dearborn County Indiana when she was not working.

Melissa has left behind two beautiful daughters. Our thoughts and prayers go out to them daily as they struggle to go through their lives without their mother. We hope they know that their mother was a hero and deserves to be remembered as such.

Please keep Melissa's family and friends in your thoughts and prayers as they struggle to understand why such a wonderful person was taken from their lives.

Melissa Henderson was 34 years old. She lived in Lawrenceburg and worked full time security/EMT for Grand Victoria Casino and part time for Lawrenceburg life squad. Her live was cut short on June 17, 2005.

She is survived by her parents Joe and Janie Ammons, Greendale; two daughters, Victoria Henderson and Katarina Henderson, both of Lawrenceburg; paternal grandfather, Carol Ammons, Lawrenceburg; maternal grandmother, Jean Riggs, Bright and a sister, Sandy Heist, Greendale.
